GTP Internet Commerce, formerly "Gateway to Perth" was established in 1996 at the beginning of the popularisation of the Internet. GTP was started by Naveen Yawanarajah, a computer science student and Dale Carter, a psychology student. Based in Perth, GTP has developed a suite of effective, simple to operate, internet commerce systems that enable companies and corporations to manage web content, e-commerce and online marketing. Dale Carter has a Masters Degree in Psychology from the Curtin University of Technology, and is the executive responsible for sales and marketing. Dale's background in psychology and over ten years of experience in internet marketing have enabled GTP to provide insightful solutions to businesses utilising the internet as part of their communication and marketing strategies.
Graeme brings to GTP a wealth of experience in finance, marketing and corporate strategy. He was the Financial Controller and Company Secretary for Atkins Carlyle Ltd Group from 1976 to 1996. He is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, Certified Practising Accountants and Chartered Institute of Secretaries. Graeme holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
Naveen Yawanarajah, who died age 32 in March 2002, was responsible for the establishment of GTP along with Dale Carter. Naveen's role involved technical research and development and in-house training of programmers. Naveen brought with him a wealth of understanding in object-orientated programming, object and relation Database Development, TCP/IP, CGI (web), WAP and JSP programming. He worked previously as a Software Developer with Motorola (Malaysia), as a Systems Consultant with CN Corporate Malaysia, and as a Computer Engineering Tutor at Curtin University of Technology. Naveen held a Master's Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering. We are saddened by the loss of Naveen. He touched the lives of many. Naveen's work continues to be developed by the programming team at GTP.
Bevan Holman holds a degree in Information Technology. He specialises in MySQL database development and management, CGI, JSP, and PHP programming, and oversees GTP's technical development. He has been with GTP since 2000.
James Nicholls has studied web design and programming at university and TAFE level and specialises in standards compliant and semantic HTML, Cascading Style Sheets and PHP programming. He also handles copy-editing and is currently developing an in-house task management system for the company. He has been with GTP since 2000.
Daniel Vuckovic studied information technology and graphic and web site design at TAFE. He has been with GTP since late 2005 and in his spare time runs and manages a highly successful gaming website.
