Email Newsletters: Step by Step Guide.

If you have a GTP email template, these are some general instructions on how to edit, save and send your newsletter.  Print this page out so you can refer to the sequential steps.

Newsletter Editing

  1. Login to Admin Area
  2. Click on iNews >> List and Edit Pages
  3. Click on Category "Newsletter" showing on this page
  4. Click on any story titles in this section to edit : e.g. "Company Newsletter"

Edit the content. Upload images etc using iNews. Remember press [shift] [enter] together for paragraph tags and just [enter] for next line

After making updates – review newsletter changes at

www-yourdomainname-com-au/newsletter/  (replaced your domain name with your domain and dasheds with dots)

e.g.  the host direct newsletter is at

Repeat this step until you are happy with content area.

Products In Your Newsletter

If you have products in the newsletter you can generally select these by marking the product as being on special or featured.  Add these Under: Products>>Manage products

Put the products you want to appear on the bottom of the newsletter on special .

Copying Your Newsletter Into GTP Contact

Go to your newsletter page: http://www-yourdomainname-com-au/newsletter/

STAGE 1 – Copying the source code

In the toolbar Click


A text box opens up

Click Edit>>Select All

Click Edit >>Copy


Go back to GTP administration console

Click on GTP Contact>>Emails>>Create New E-mail

E-mail Series: Rename by typing in text box

Subject: Put e-mail subject line in here

Send as HTML >Click the yes radio button

Click the "Message View" tab

Right Click your mouse in the large white space under the message view tab

Select PASTE

The page should have HTML code showing

Now click on the tab "Message View"

You will see the e-mail newsletter layout.

Click insert e-mail

(Edit the e-mail by clicking on "Edit This E-mail Message"

Sending Out The Email Newsletter

Click GTP Contact>>Send E-mails>>Send to a Category

Send an e-mail to yourself in a test category first and check the e-mail for errors before sending to everyone
