Home Page Fading Images - How to Change and Update:

You are able to modify the images that appear on the home page in the fading image area if we have embedded this code into your site. 
 
The steps to add an image, remove an image or adjust the ordering of images is explained below
 
1. First Identify the size of the images that change on the page

Right click on the image(s) and select Properties and an infomtion box will appear.
Examine the image dimensions and write these down. e.g. 627px x 243px
 
2. Prepare your new image to these dimensions using your graphics program.
Save the images using a simple name with no spaces in the name and as a jpg
 
3. Log into the GTP Console and Load the Home Page from iNews
 
4. Upload your new images by clicking on the images tab and click add new image.  Follow the process.
 
5. Once you have uploaded your images you can now place them in the order that you desire.
 
6. Click on the miscellanious tab.
 
7. In the misc1 field you will see a list of comma separated image names.  Simply enter your new image name in here in the position where you want it to appear.
Make sure your images are comma separated
 
8. Save the page
 
9. Load your web site and check that your new images appear.
 

TROUBLESHOOTING


If a broken image appears in sequence then you have not specified the file name correctly. Double check this and adjust the file name and re test.
Make sure you also check that their are commas between image names but that the last item does not have a comma.
 
Note: If you have fading images on yor other web pages you can often change these by editing the list in the mescellanious tab as well.
